“…To see things the way they truly are, sometimes you have to look more deeply.”

– Ron Hall/ Art2Life

My art consists of looking at life and finding new ways to portray it.  I love experimentation, and considering the use of different mediums and supports that don’t normally go together and saying, ” Why not”? I do this with most of my artwork, which includes photography, painting, sculpture, and everything in between. The subjects that inspire me come from nature, my life experiences, books I read, dreams, or meditations. I love to share my work and hope that what I create inspires people to see things in new ways.

I am a mixed media artist living in the Hudson Valley. I earned a master’s in art education from Manhattanville College and taught art locally for 10 years  before retiring to create in my home studio. I am  currently a member of the: Inspiration Art Group International https://inspirationartgroup.org; River Winds;  Sherman Artists Association https://www.shermanartists.org; Artseast https://www.arteastdutchess.com/art/artists/ASBA; https://asba-art.org  Great Hollow Photographers Club https://greathollow.org/photographers-club; Arts Mid-Hudson https://www.artsmidhudson.org; Putnam Arts Council https://putnamartscouncil.com & FrOGS https://frogs-ny.org .

I sell my work via local & virtual shows, and on here on my website.  You can also find a rotating exhibit of my artwork at Perk Up a cafe in Stormville.https://perkup4.com

Please take a moment to look through my Gallery. If you enjoy something please share it or purchase it.  Most of my work is for sale. If the mood strikes, send me a note with your thoughts. I enjoy seeing things through other people’s eyes.  Come back and visit now and then or follow me on social media. You will see all the twists and turns my love of art has taken and witness the seed as it is becoming.

Soon I am hoping to begin a blog of my journey in the hopes that it encourages others to be brave (yes it takes immense bravery) and risk pursuing their dreams.
